THE NORDIC FILM COMMISSIONS SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE

The Nordic Film commissions recognizes that a more sustainable film industry is necessary in the future. It is necessary for all of us and for the survival of the film industry in the Nordics.

With our green energy mix, high level of education, technology expertise, extensive waste management, understanding of circular economy and great infrastructure we want to seize the opportunity to become a leading region for sustainable film and tv production. We understand that this will be an important competitive advantage in the future.

With this pledge we are all committed to make it possible to produce in a more sustainable way in our Nordic region and in our local regions selectively. We work together to influence the decision makers to make the Nordics a more sustainable region for film productions.

We will encourage and support both national and the international productions in making decisions that are more sustainable when producing in the Nordics, through dissemination of knowledge and guiding productions, when working for example with logistics, infrastructure, capacity, other suppliers and more.

This pledge is aligned with the different strategies and tools already existing like Green producers Club, Green film, we are Albert, European booklet for Green Productions and so on. We encourage the use of tools and guidelines to produce more sustainable.
